Details

DfI commissioned questions in the Continuous Household Survey 2018/19 to ascertain how satisfied people are with the walking, cycling and public transport provision in their local area, to explore the reasons for their level of satisfaction, and to gauge their willingness to walk journeys of up to 2 miles (3km), cycle journeys of up to 3 miles (5km) and take public transport for journeys up to 6 miles (10km). This information will be used to assist the Department in focussing its policies on addressing the key issues that prevent people from taking up active travel and to encourage more people to use public transport.
