Understanding average earnings for the continuously employed, using the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings: 2014

This paper provides additional information and guidance on how to interpret average earnings data for the “continuously employed”. It has a particular focus on the differences and growth rates in headline measures of median gross weekly full-time earnings for all employees compared to those identified as being in continuous employment - defined in this analysis as being in the same job for at least 12 months.
