Reconviction Rates in Scotland, 2013-14 Offender Cohort

This publication provides analyses of trends in reconviction figures up to the latest cohort of 2013-14. It includes analysis of both the reconviction rate (which is the percentage of offenders in a cohort reconvicted within a year after release from a custodial sentence or given a non-custodial sentence) and also the average number of reconvictions per offender (which measures the number of times offenders reoffend in a year after release from a custodial sentence or given a non-custodial sentence).
