Details
Statistics comprise population trends for 11 of the UK’s 17 breeding bat species, based on National Bat Monitoring Programme (NBMP) data. Population trends are provided at UK (or for certain species GB) level and, where possible, at country level.
Data contribute to UK and England Biodiversity indicators, and are important for reporting on and implementation of country biodiversity strategies, and the report to EUROBATS.
NBMP is a partnership between Bat Conservation Trust and JNCC, with fieldwork carried out by hundreds of volunteer bat surveyors.
