This release provides an estimate of the number and proportion of exporting registered businesses and the number and proportion of exporting registered small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the UK in 2021.
The estimates have been produced using data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA).
Estimates in this release are considered official statistics in development.
This release will be updated to show estimates for 2022 following the publication of the ONS release Annual Business Survey exporters and importers: 2022 which has been provisionally announced for May to June 2024.
