This publication contains estimates for 2021 and comparative revised data for 2020 for gross turnover, employment, value added, destination of sales and total capital employed for each of the ten subsectors of the food and drinks processing sector in Northern Ireland. The supporting data tables provide fifteen benchmarking indicators of performance for each subsector over the same period. Provisional estimates are also provided for sector gross turnover and employment for 2022.
For the first time, this publication provides experimental statistics for estimated purchases by the food and drinks processing sector including their region of origin. This is in addition to already existing experimental statistics for food not for human consumption.
