This release provides information on national non-domestic rates and associated information for the financial year 2023 to 2024.

This information is derived from the national non-domestic rates (NNDR1) returns submitted by billing authorities in England.

  1. The local authority-level data have been updated to reflect minor revisions to the data for Kirklees. These revisions do not affect any tables or figures in the main release document

  2. The local authority data table has been revised to reflect minor revisions from three authorities.

  3. Table 4 added to the attached tables, including data on the number of hereditaments receiving mandatory and discretionary business rates reliefs at the end of December 2022. Local authority level hereditament data also added as the 'supplementary data table'

  4. Local Authority data updated to reflect revised collection fund information (Part 4) for Mole Valley. This does not change the main tables or release

  5. Release and all tables updated to include data from East Staffordshire, which was pending at the time of the original publication. Changes to England-level totals are small.
