How much material is the UK consuming?

This release presents new estimates of material consumption from 2000 to 2013, taking UK extraction, imports and exports into account. It explores how material consumption relates to economic growth (known as ‘resource productivity’) and shows how much material is consumed per person. Comparisons with European estimates are also presented.
