Details

This survey provides estimates of the number of cattle, sheep and pigs on farms in Northern Ireland at the beginning of December. The survey also provides information on levels of hay and silage production and sowings of winter cereals.

Information is taken from the APHIS system for cattle and the Sheep and Goat Inventory for sheep. Other information is gathered from a survey of approximately 5,000 farms.
