This release presents figures on new build housing starts and completions in England.

Figures for the UK and constituent countries are also available in the accompanying tables.

Alongside this release the department has published an action plan to improve the measurement of new homes built. This document sets out in detail the on-going work to improve the quality and coverage of our house building statistics.
