Mineral extraction in Great Britain 2013
Annual Minerals Raised Inquiry (AMRI) is an annual survey which has been published every year since 1973. This survey is the principle source of data on non-energy minerals production in Great Britain. The data is used by minerals planing authorities to assist land use planning and decision-making for the supply of minerals in Great Britain. This survey is used to collect data on the extracted sales of chalk, clays, crushed rock, limestone, sandstone, sand and gravel and other minerals, together with employment for each quarry type.
