2011 Area Classification for Super Output Areas
The 2011 Area Classification for Super Output Areas is a residential based classification that uses 2011 Census data for Super Output Areas, comprising Lower Layer Super Output Areas in England and Wales, Data Zones in Scotland and Super Output Areas in Northern Ireland. It groups all these 42,619 Super Output Areas in the UK into categories that describe the characteristics of the residential population in these areas and it uses 60 variables from a range of themes from 2011 Census data.
