Item 1: Welcome and Introductions

1.1 The Chairman welcomed the Steering Board and introductions were made.

Item 2: Minutes and Actions from Previous Meeting

2.1 The minutes from the April 2022 meeting were confirmed as accurate.

2.2 Actions from the April 2022 meeting were reviewed.

Item 3: Updates

3.1 UK NCP Steering Board Appointment Process

3.1.1 The process for appointing board members has begun. Call for Nomination letters have been sent to stakeholders.

3.1.2 Final decisions on appointments will be made by Ministers.

3.2 Review of Procedural Review Guidelines

3.2.1 The UK NCP has incorporated the Steering Board members’ feedback on the Procedural Review document.

3.2.2 There were no objections to publication of the updated document.

Item 4: Discussion on Rules of Procedure

4.1 The UK NCP presented a zero draft of the Rules of Procedure update and asked for feedback.

Item 5: UK NCP Case Update

5.1 The UK NCP updated the Board on its current caseload.

5.2 An initial assessment of the DRAX Group PLC case was published on 27th July 2022.

Item 6: Update on UK NCP Stakeholder Engagement

6.1 Update on the UK NCP Stakeholder Engagement Plan 2022-25

6.1.1 The UK NCP provided an update on the stakeholder engagement and promotion plan.

6.2 Bilateral engagements and Other Promotional Activities

6.2.1 The UK NCP provided an update on its plan for engagement with NGOs, Businesses and Trade Unions.

6.2.2 The UK NCP provided an update on engagement with its counterparts in other OECD countries.

Item 7: Update on UK NCP OECD Engagement

7.1 Update on UK NCP OECD Engagement

7.1.1 The UK NCP attended the WPRBC and the NCP Network meeting in June.

7.1.2 The NCP Network meeting divided in two parts:

  • Engagement and learning good practice
  • One and a half days of training

7.2 The OECD Ministerial on RBC

7.2.1 The UK NCP gave an update on their plans for participation in the OECD Ministerial on RBC in February 2023.

Item 8: Any other business

8.1 A discussion was had on the potential for a hand over meeting with a new Steering Board.

8.2 The Steering Board were thanked for their contributions.
