This chapter secures the ability of UK companies to deliver financial services to clients in India, supporting the long-term competitiveness and stability of the UK’s financial services sector. This will support opportunities for businesses and consumers in all regions and nations of the UK, boosting UK growth.

This chapter underpins our future relationship and supports our continued cooperation in financial services.

The agreement is not yet in force. Both the UK and India are required to complete their respective domestic procedures for the agreement to come into effect. Once ratified by both countries, businesses will be able to trade under its terms.
