Details

This chapter and its annex contain commitments that will facilitate the entry and temporary stay of a range of business persons travelling between the UK and India for business purposes.

The UK and India will ensure that visa application processes remain transparent, and ensure governments do not create unnecessary obstacles for professionals to travel between the UK and India.

This chapter is in line with our broader immigration policy.

The agreement is not yet in force. Both the UK and India are required to complete their respective domestic procedures for the agreement to come into effect. Once ratified by both countries, businesses will be able to trade under its terms.
