Details

In the context of the Agreement, the UK and India have signed a number of side arrangements on a range of issues. These have been negotiated in connection with the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.

There has also been an exchange of diplomatic notes.

The agreement is not yet in force. Both the UK and India are required to complete their respective domestic procedures for the agreement to come into effect. Once ratified by both countries, businesses will be able to trade under its terms.
