Summary of discussions
Minister Jayawardena chaired the fifth meeting of the Trade Union Advisory Group (TUAG) on Monday 6 September.
Attendees received updates and contributed to discussions on:
- the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP)
- UK-Australia free trade agreement (FTA)
- Canada and Mexico trade negotiations
The group welcomed the updates, whilst highlighting the need to continue to uphold high labour standards and to protect and create job opportunities for British citizens in trade deal negotiations.
