The Government Property Career Framework supports the development of property professionals across government and shows the breadth of opportunities and career pathways available in the property profession.

The framework simplifies the roles in Government Property to five role types and twenty-two job families.

Job families are split into job roles with a description of the type of work, and expectations of skills and experience at each grade.

You can use the Career Framework to identify professional development goals for current and future roles. The framework also maps potential career paths.

The framework will help you identify your next step in a property career including what experience, professional accreditation and technical skills you’ll need to get there. It will help you decide what your strengths are by looking at the skills and behaviours you use every day and seeing where these can take you when considering your career aspirations.
