Re: Freedom of Information Request regarding information on ICT expenditure

Dear

I write in response to an email received from you to my offices on 1st August 2018 in which you ask for information on my organisation’s ICT expenditure. Your request has been handled as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

1. Expenditure from all parts of your organisation (centralised IT and departmental IT)

I am an independent regulator supported by a team of four Home Office staff who make use of Home Office systems and manage my expenditure. I have no IT systems which are bespoke to or otherwise owned by me. You may consider a separate request to be made to the Home Office under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act should you require information regarding matters relevant to the Home Office.

If you are dissatisfied with this response you may request an independent internal review of our handling of your request by submitting a complaint within two months to the address below, quoting reference SCC/FOI/05/18/OA. If you ask for an internal review, it would be helpful if you could say why you are dissatisfied with the response.

As part of any internal review the Commissioner’s handling of your information request will be reassessed by staff that were not involved in providing you with this response. If you remain dissatisfied after this internal review, you would have a right of complaint to the Information Commissioner as established by section 50 of the Freedom of Information Act.

2. As well as your own organisation, expenditure for any subsidiary organisations that fall within the scope of your accounts.

Please see answer to 1.

3. Both revenue (or operating) expenditure and capital expenditure.

Please see answer to 1.
