Compliance with the steel procurement guidance

The information from government departments and their arm’s-length bodies covers:

• how much they have procured over the 2022 to 2023 financial year
• how they have applied the steel public procurement guidance (PPN 04/23)

Procurement pipeline 2024

The steel pipeline shows that more than 8 million tonnes of steel, will be needed over the coming years on infrastructure projects for:

• maintaining and upgrading of the UK’s motorway network
• maintaining of our railways
• the construction of schools and hospitals
