Details

This document is based on the findings of a series of workshops designed to support the activities of secretariats to Scientific Advisory Committees and Science Advisory Council (SACs). It provides guidance and case studies on:

  • the induction of new members and Chairs
  • the best ways to present advice
  • the interaction between SACs and departments

This guidance should be read alongside the ‘Code of practice for Scientific Advisory Committees (CoPSAC)’.
