The School Teachers’ Review Body makes recommendations for the level of pay and conditions of employment for teachers in England and Wales. This report focuses on the following areas: teachers of mathematics, science and other priority subjects; special educational needs allowances; the Excellent Teacher Scheme; part-time teachers; teachers’ performance and pay progression; approaches to pay in England and Wales; teachers’ professional responsibilities.

This Command Paper was laid before Parliament by a Government Minister by Command of Her Majesty. Command Papers are considered by the Government to be of interest to Parliament but are not required to be presented by legislation.
