In August 2021, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council’s external auditor, Grant Thornton, undertook a value for money governance review into Sandwell’s arrangements for securing economy, efficiency and effectiveness in its use of resources.

Grant Thornton sent their report to the council in December 2021. The report set out detailed findings including evidence and methodology used, conclusions and recommendations for the future.
