A copy of the letter from Max Soule, Deputy Director, Local Government Stewardship at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, to the Chief Executive of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, noting the Council’s considerable progress since the third report and informing the Chief Executive that Ministers agree that there is now no evidence to suggest the Council is failing its Best Value Duty; as such the Directions will expire on 22 March and the statutory intervention end.
