Details

The Scottish government published its policy for managing HAW in January 2011. CoRWM researched and consulted the public throughout the policy’s development.

The policy includes plans to develop an implementation strategy (HAWIS) so the policy can be implemented in a consistent manner by all organisations involved with HAW management in Scotland.

This paper summarises CoRWM’s work. It also comments on how HAWIS has progressed and the issues that the Scottish government needs to address in its further development.
