Details

This research paper uses a mixed-methods approach to examine the complex impact of exchange rates on international trade, with a specific focus on the UK.

This paper combines:

  • a review of academic, grey, and commercial literature
  • an online survey of UK businesses trading internationally
  • case study interviews with UK-based trade associations
  • an econometric feasibility study, assessing the potential to conduct further empirical work

This was published originally by Department for International Trade (DIT) which has since moved to the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).
