Report fraud to the UK Space Agency

Fraud is the deliberate use of deception or dishonesty to disadvantage or cause loss to another person or party (usually financial and for personal gain). In recent times, fraudsters have been increasingly targeting public funds.

Types of reported fraud & error include:

  • purchasing & ​​​​​​​procurement irregularities
  • theft
  • recruitment irregularities
  • data breaches      
  • false documents
  • being presented with fraudulent applications
  • grant & loan applications
  • misuse of IT
  • accessing or disclosing customer data
  • leaking official papers and briefing
  • theft or misappropriation of assets
  • phishing, whaling, vishing and smishing
  • mandate fraud
  • deceit or misrepresentation for an advantage

Where an allegation is proven, we will attempt to recover any lost assets and will take action against the offenders.

1. What you can report

You can report any suspected or actual attempts at fraud, bribery or corruption involving UK Space Agency staff or grant funding. All reports are treated in the strictest of confidence.

To report fraud, bribery or corruption concerns, please contact the UK Space Agency Counter-Fraud Function.

Email uksa-fraud@ukspaceagency.gov.uk or if you are a UK Space Agency employee please complete the UK Space Agency Fraud Reporting Form.

When contacting us, please provide as much information as possible to help us investigate the matter.

3. How we will handle your fraud referral

A member of the UK Space Agency Counter-Fraud Function will be in touch within five working days to acknowledge your referral and advise on next steps.

Any information we gather as part of an investigation will remain confidential (to the extent possible for a thorough investigation).
