2. Opportunity for investors

This 4 hectare (10 acre) site in White City was sold by Marks & Spencer (M&S) to be developed as part of a major regeneration project comprising of homes and extensive parklands. Working with the Mayor of London and the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, White City East will provide 2,000 new homes including affordable housing, new areas of open space and public realm.

The site forms part of a wider regeneration programme within the WCOA which sets out plans for 4,500 homes and10,000 jobs in the area through projects including the completed Westfield shopping centre, the redevelopment of the BBC studios and a new Imperial College campus.

3. Detail

There has been extensive transport investment as part of the first Westfield Shopping Centre development with new rail stations on the Hammersmith & City/Circle Underground line (Wood Lane) and the West London Line (Shepherd’s Bush) on the Transport for London (TfL) Overground network.
