In July 2026, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) was replaced by the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST).

This is a summary of BIST’s evaluation of the Redbox@DBT trial.

Redbox@DBT is an internally developed large language model (LLM) tool.

This evaluation assessed the benefits and challenges of DBT’s use of Redbox@DBT, as well as staff attitudes towards artificial intelligence (AI) and LLMs.

The evaluation report includes:
