The process of delivering a geological disposal facility (GDF), or other option for radioactive waste management, requires that there be a demonstrably robust and effective regulatory system to underpin it.
This position paper reflects the Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM) current position on the policy, legal and regulatory issues for a GDF and associated radioactive waste management issues.
