The Parole Board has developed its 2023 to 2025 business plan announcing its strategic aims and priorities.

Our operating model has transformed with over 95% of hearings currently taking place remotely with the majority of hearings continuing to be conducted in this way.

The Board has become more open and transparent, producing summaries mainly for victims in nearly 2000 cases a year.

The Parole Board remains committed to its role of carrying out risk assessments on prisoners to determine whether they can be safely released into the community. We aim to improve the efficiency, transparency and fairness of our work for all involved in the process.
