Details

The Parole Board ran a pilot to trial Case Conferences with a group of volunteer Parole Board members, as part of the larger COMPASS project.

Case Conferences were developed to provide an alternative, swifter option to holding a Directions Hearing (although both are convened under the same rule).

Following a successful outcome of the pilot, the option of a Case Conference is now available for all cases, although the final decision to direct one rests with the appointed panel chair or MCA member.
