OGA sets out its stall for potential 29th Frontier Licensing Round

The Oil & Gas Authority launched a new website on 3 October 2016 to reflect its new status as a government company.

This formalises the transfer of the Secretary of State’s regulatory powers in respect of oil and gas to the OGA, and grants it new powers. This website will no longer be updated. Visitors should refer to www.ogauthority.co.uk

Details

At the annual PROSPEX Event (9th & 10th December 2015), the OGA announced that data packages from the Government-Funded Seismic Programme will be made available towards the end of Q1 2016. The seismic surveys cover areas in the Rockall and Mid North Sea High Areas that the OGA hopes to make available for Licensing in the 29th Frontier Round.

The OGA also requested Nominations from companies for additional frontier areas which may be included in the Round, to be sent to Jen Brzozowska before close 17th January 2016, see document
