  1. Guidance on Russian metals sanctions overview updated to reflect changes to the acquisition of metals trade licence.

  2. 'Guidance on third country processed iron and steel measures' document attachment amended to reflect a date change for certain codes, from 1 October 2024 to 1 October 2028 in the 'Imports from the European Union and Switzerland' section.

  3. The 'Guidance on imports from the European Union' header and section in the 'Guidance on third country processed iron and steel measures' page has been updated to include Switzerland.

  4. 'Guidance on third country processed Russian diamonds measures' amended to reflect updates on evidence requirements for demonstrating supply chain history.

  5. Amended to reflect the implementation of new measures on third country processed Russian diamonds. This includes guidance on the third country processed Russian diamonds measures alongside guidance on the use of the General Licence for the import of third country processed Russian diamonds. The licence permits the import into the UK of certain prohibited third country processed diamonds that were outside of Russia before 1 March 2024.

  10. Guidance on third country processed iron and steel measures updated: guidance on use of the General Trade Licence for the import of sanctioned iron and steel has been added. The licence permits the import into the UK of certain prohibited goods that are used as reuseable packaging, were manufactured or produced before 21 April 2023, or were previously in free circulation in the United Kingdom.

  18. This notice was amended on 21 June 2022 to reflect the implementation of new import sanctions measures that relate to certain 'revenue generating goods'. The new measures also extend to the provision of ancillary services related to certain iron and steel products.

  19. This notice was amended on 21 April 2022 to reflect the announcement extending import bans to include new import bans on goods such as silver, wood products and high-end products from Russia including caviar. These measures will enter into force in the coming weeks.

  20. Updated notice reflects changes made after the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) (No. 8) Regulations 2022 amended the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019. This amendment extends the existing import sanctions measures by prohibiting the import, acquisition, supply and delivery, directly or indirectly, of finished steel and articles of iron and steel.
