Details

Two advisory stakeholder working groups were established in February 2013 to discuss the proposed energy efficiency regulations (domestic and non-domestic) in England and Wales. The non-domestic group discussed how the minimum energy efficiency standard regulations could be applied. These regulations will require eligible properties in the sector to be improved to a specified minimum standard. These regulations must be in force by 1st April 2018.

The report contains the views of a diverse range of stakeholders including leading landlord, tenant, environmental and property professional organisations and provides further details about key issues relating to the regulations. The report does not set out the views of government. The reports were produced in Autumn 2013 and represent the views at this point in time.

The domestic working group report has been published in parallel to this report.
