From May to July 2016, the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) surveyed a sample of newly qualified teachers (NQTs) who had successfully completed their initial teacher training (ITT) in England during the 2014 to 2015 academic year.
The NQTs were invited to complete an online or postal questionnaire. The survey asked them to:
- assess the quality of their initial teacher training in a number of key areas
- tell us about their induction experiences
The research is based on a sample-survey therefore provider-level data is not available this year.
