Details

As part of our transparency agenda, the Parole Board has produced a short video for anyone wishing to learn more about the parole process, entitled ‘What is Parole and how does it work?’ It outlines key issues such as:

  • Different stages of a parole review
  • How decisions are made
  • What happens at an oral hearing
  • Licence conditions, which apply when prisoners are released, and
  • Avenues for challenging parole decisions.

The video is available on YouTube and we encourage anyone interested in how the parole process works to watch it.
