Nick Thomas-Symonds wrote to Lord Evans requesting that the Committee open an inquiry into the Home Secretary and the government’s settlement with Sir Philip Rutnam over his claim for unfair dismissal. Lord Evans’ response states that the Committee has no remit to launch investigations into individual cases.
