John Whiting from the Office of Tax Simplification (OTS) has written to Rt Hon Andrew Tyrie MP in his position as Chair of the Treasury Committee to share the two recently published OTS reports.

The letter refers to enclosed copies of the report on Closer Alignment of NICs and Income Tax and the report on Small Company Taxation, giving background to the work that fed into the reports. It highlights areas for further work on both projects which have been endorsed by David Gaulke MP, the Financial Secretary to HM Treasury.

The letter also indicates that papers containing conclusions from the additional work will be published in the autumn.
