The impact of leadership on improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils and closing the gap.
In 2008-09, the National College for Teaching and Leadership launched an initiative on leadership for closing the gap. This was in response to the national emphasis placed on improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. It also reflected the priorities and concerns of many school leaders.
