The Collective Rights Management Directive (“the Directive”) sets standards for bodies engaged in collective licensing of copyright works within the European Union. In the UK, the Directive is implemented by the Collective Management of Copyright (EU Directive) Regulations 2016 (“the Regulations”).

This guidance sets out how how the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) will carry out investigation and enforcement activities. We will be inviting comments on the contents from stakeholders shortly, and may amend this guidance as a result.
