GOV.UK Wallet will allow you to securely store government-issued documents on your phone using an app. It is being designed and built by the Government Digital Service (GDS).
GDS carried out user research focusing on:
- usage of digital wallets
- the appeal and clarity of the digital wallet concept
- trust
- expectations of delivery
Fieldwork was commissioned to Discovery Research Ltd and ran from 1 to 11 November 2024. GDS collected responses using an online survey of 2,000 people aged 13 and over. The survey was nationally representative by age, gender, region and social grade, and enabled a 95% level of statistical confidence.
