Details

The Government Property Profession Job Role Catalogue is designed to bring clarity, consistency, and alignment across property roles within government organisations. It provides:

  • Standardised job titles that help reduce confusion while still allowing flexibility for departments to adapt titles to fit their specific needs.
  • A clear and accessible reference for both internal staff and external candidates.
  • Guidance to support the Shared Services Strategy for Government, helping to increase consistency as departments and clusters share systems.

This framework is advisory. Departments may align with the job titles provided, but there is no requirement to change existing individual job titles. Decisions about titles remain with each department. While central government departments are the primary audience, arms-length bodies and other public sector organisations are welcome to use the catalogue as a reference.
