Details

This guidance aims to assist local authorities in England on trading through a company, as authorised for the purpose of carrying on their ordinary functions under section 95 and 96 of the Local Government Act.

This guidance explains how, in the view of the Secretary of State, issues in relations to trading may be handled.

This is statutory guidance issued under section 92 (2) of the Act, to which authorities are required to pay regard.
