The Forensic Science Regulator commissions an audit of the work of forensic pathologists on a regular basis. This is the report of the fifth audit, which was commissioned in 2015. It looks at case reports about:

  • a death in police custody or during contact with police, apparently as a consequence of unnatural causes
  • a death resulting from precipitate descent from height
