RE: Freedom of information request - Global Counsel meetings and correspondences

Thank you for your email received on 18 February 2026 in which you requested information which we have considered under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the FOI Act).

You asked for:

1.A list of all meetings between the consultancy firm Global Counsel and directors or senior civil servants within the authority in the time period 1 January 2022–present.

For each meeting, please also provide

  • list of attendees
  • full meeting minutes
  • any related correspondences, written, by email or orally delivered (if recorded).

2.All written correspondence between Global Counsel and directors or senior civil servants within the authority in the time period 1 January 2022–present. This includes letters and email.

I confirm that the information requested is not held.

There is no record any of our directors having met with the consultancy firm Global Counsel from 1 January 2022–present. There is also no correspondence on record between Global Counsel and our directors over this period. Please note that SSRO employees are not civil servants.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original request and should be addressed to: John Russell, c/o Enquiries, enquiries@ssro.gov.uk.

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision.
