Indicative timeline for ETP funding calls

Thematic areas relevant to each call will be made available online ahead of the call being launched.

1. ETP 01:

Launch Call: September 2022

Close Call: 21 November 2022

Kick Off: Early Feb 2023

Close Out: End August 2024

Duration: 18 months maximum

2. ETP 02:

Launch Call: October 2022

Close Call: December 2022

Kick Off: Early April 2023

Close Out: End May 2024

Duration: 12 months maximum

Thematic areas are:

  • innovative and/or emerging technology research and development – proof of concept, feasibility studies targeting emerging disruptive technologies

  • detectors – new ideas for photon capture, at any wavelength, to enabling new science from space instrumentation

  • robotics – enabling remote / autonomous operation of science instrumentation

  • instrumentation/techniques to meet Planetary Protection Protocols for outgoing missions and returned samples; space weather instruments

3. ETP 03:

Launch Call: 25 April 2023

Close Call: 6 of June 2023

Kick Off: August 2023

Close Out: Feb 2025

Duration: 18 months maximum

Sustainability in Space Technology. 

Example of acceptable activities are; 

  • innovative and/or emerging technology research and development – proof of concept, feasibility studies targeting emerging disruptive technologies 
  • Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Space Traffic Management (STM) 
  • Space debris mitigation technologies 
  • Earth Observation for sustainable practices (agriculture, climate monitoring, disaster risk reduction)

4. ETP 04: Open Call for Space Technology

Launch Call: August 2023

Close Call: September 2023

Kick Off: November 2023

Close Out: December 2024

Duration: 12 months maximum

5. ETP 05:
