Details
The new capability is the most significant change in electronic monitoring (EM) since the launch of the national service in 1999, and builds on the success of an 18-month pilot that was run in the Midlands and BeNCH (Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire) areas from October 2016. Location monitoring will be run by the Ministry of Justice’s supplier EMS, who are responsible for the current curfew monitoring service.
