Details

This report aims to build upon a previous report completed in early 2014 by Eunomia titled ‘European Experience of Renewable Heat Deployment’.

This document explains the reasons for the deployment of renewable heating technologies in selected countries, including discussion of drivers and barriers to growth. Additionally it seeks to:

  • Identify different phases of growth and the growth rates experienced during each phase.
  • Identify changes in the costs of renewable heating technologies over time in Germany and discuss how these changes have influenced growth;
  • Conduct a brief literature review on biomass boiler efficiencies in Europe.
