Strategic authorities can set up design review panels (DRPs) to review the design of capital projects to ensure they consider the needs of people travelling by active modes. 

This guidance explains: 

• how a strategic authority can establish and operate a DRP 

• the design assurance support available from Active Travel England (ATE)
